FAQ + Shop Policies
Welcome to Mitzi Loves Dottie, a small business that's run by me, Tori. I take preloved clothing and textiles, vintage and donated yardage, and recreate them into bonnets, bows, and bloomers, giving those fabrics a whole new life. New bonnet collections are added to the website on the fourth Sunday of every month. They are a mix of ready to post and made to order and come with a 5-7 day turnaround time. In addition to monthly collections, I also offer made to order, custom, and surprise slots which you can learn more about here. Once a month, a release a special design bonnet (or bloomers) that is exclusive to my social media pages only.
We offer many different styles of bonnets, bows, and bloomers and getting the right fit is important. Read about sizing here.
If you have an issue with the quality of the item, email right away. Make sure to include your name, order number, the fault or issue with the item, and photos to demonstrate the problem. A refund will be issued to include the cost of the return postage once the item has been received and fault verified. This should happen within 48 hours.
Orders returned due to incorrect sizing are accepted within 7 days of receiving the order. Please get in touch via email and include your name, order number, and the sizing issue. These orders must be sent with the original packaging and include any branding materials. A refund will be issued once the item has been received and is in sellable condition. Items having been washed or worn will not be eligible for refunds. Please check the sizing before washing. Click here for washing and care recommendations.
You are responsible for ensuring your return makes it to me so I always encourage tracked postage. I am not responsible for lost or damaged returns.
Returns that qualify will receive a refund within 48 hours. Refunds are made to the original payment method only. Should there be issues with receiving funds to this method of payment, shop credit will be given in the amount of the refund. There are no exceptions to this.
Custom and surprise orders are ineligible for refunds and returns. For more information click here.
You may request a cancellation within 24 hours of ordering. Beyond this time, cancellations are not possible. Please provide your order number in your email subject line and explain your reason for cancelling. Provided your order has not already been processed, cancellations will always be granted.
Sleep and Carseat safety
Please be sure to take all precautions when putting your sweet babies in our bonnets. We do not recommend having your baby sleep with a bonnet on or wear one while riding in a car seat. Bows should not be played with and can become detached from their clips.
All UK orders will be posted 48 hours tracked with Royal Mail.
Once I have dispatched your order, you will receive an email containing your unique tracking number. If you have questions concerning your order, email with your name and order number. Please do not message via Instagram with important questions, they are not daily monitored.
Turnaround time for collections is 5-7 days unless otherwise stated. Custom and Surprise orders have a four week turnaround. Please order accordingly.
Lost or Stolen Parcels
I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please ensure your mailing address is correct prior to placing. If your parcel is sent back due to an address error or post office error I am not responsible for getting your parcel back to you. I will notify you that it has come back and you're welcome to pay again to have it posted. If you are not willing to pay for it to be posted again I am happy to refund your order minus posting fees.
Hours of Operation
While we don't have a physical shop, we do have operating hours when I am available to respond to emails and messages. We are "open" Monday - Friday from 9AM - to 4PM.
